MPUMC Book Club will meet at 2PM, on Tuesday, September 27, at Audree Kuhn’s home.

The following book will be discussed.

The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew – Three Women Search for Understanding.

Authors: Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver and Priscilla Warner

Three women search for understanding of their faith and to share ideas with plans to write a children’s book that will teach their children religious tolerance and show connections between the religions.  As they meet, the discussions cause conflict and at times anger.  They found they needed to agree to be candid no matter how difficult it was at times.  Each shared prejudices, faith stories, and stereotypes. Over time the discussions brought mutual understanding, respect and a new way of relating to others.  This book is for anyone interested in interfaith dialogue.
